On January 6th of PM, I got a call from Theresa. She identified herself and said disrespectfully, "where ya been?", like I was avoiding them. Then notified me that I had 8 days to gather 5 years of our mother''s bank statements or else they couldn''t qualify her for medicaid.

Some of them were good, but most of them weren’t. It was a shame because they were either on their cell phones, or they weren’t paying attention to the people. My husband was very fortunate because the aides he had most of the time were the same people, and they were excellent. However, when he would have a different aide or have someone else’s aide, it would be terrible. I reported things so many times, but nobody paid attention. They needed better help with the CNAs because they were not good.
I was able to gather all requested documentation barely in time, and my mother was approved for medicaid retroactively back to November of 2020. It became evident that the only hand in our mother''s bank account was theirs, as it should be. All the rush and seemingly unnecessary disfunction could have been avoided had they just responded to my calls for assistance with the correct information. The bottom line is, incompetence on their part became an urgency on our part. It was true for us that you really are treated differently when the money runs out.

They're understaffed and overworked; the attitude is poor. They have no activities, except for rehab; that's all they do. It looks like they haven't done a lot of updates to it, and the rooms are small. If you have a family member on Hospice and facing eminent death DO NOT take them to Neshaminy Manor. Staff and administration show no compassion for the family whatsoever only allowing two people in the room with the patient and no one is allowed to stay overnight with their loved one. We are paid by our participating communities, therefore our service is offered at no charge to families.
